About me
Hi! I am Erika Albert: engineer, leadership mentor and psychology student.
During my teenage years, I became fascinated with the human psyche and human behaviour. That is why I decided to become a psychologist after high-school. However, life led me down a different path and I ended up becoming an engineer. For nearly two decades, I worked in various engineering and engineering leadership roles.
Despite my success in engineering, my wish to better understand the human behaviour never faded. This wish drove me to make the bold decision to return to academia and revisit my decision to study psychology. This transition marked a turning point in my career, as I seek to find ways to blend my technical expertise with a profound understanding of human behaviour.
Armed with insights from both engineering and psychology, I have found my true calling: empowering engineers to not only excel in their technical skills, but also to learn to make good use of essential leadership competencies.
My mission is clear: to bridge the gap between technical proficiency and effective leadership within the world of engineering.
